Furniture design is a very personal process so: 

• I will have detailed discussions with you about your ideas and requirements for the piece. 
• Based on that discussion I will develop design drawings and submit them to you for discussion and approval.
• I will also put together a bid for the work.
• With acceptance of the bid I will begin work and give you a schedule for completion..

• I use traditional joinery, including dovetails and mortise and tenon joints.
• Joinery is part of the design and usually a visible element essential to the look of the piece.
• I use the most beautiful wood available, from sustainable sources, including domestic softwood and hardwood and exotic hardwoods . I also use reclaimed lumber.  The choice is yours
• True craftsmanship takes time.
• I prefer natural finishes but design and environment that the piece will be in may require stains. I use oil based wipe on finishes. Natural, stained, oil, or poly-urathane its your choice. 
• I build durable, heirloom quality furniture and doors.
